On Wednesday, May 18th, three team members of King-Bruwaert House were recognized by LeadingAge Illinois for their outstanding service to our residents and community through the Honoring Excellence award program. Terri Bowen, CEO, received the Leadership in Action award for her accomplishments which demonstrate a commitment to a team approach and excellence in the workplace. Michael Trench, Director of Development, was awarded the Strive and Thrive-Management award for his innovative and creative thinking which has made a direct and positive impact to the KBH community. Vivian Salvador, Nurse Supervisor, received the Heart and Hands-Management award for her continuous focus on person centered care and service through efforts that go beyond those normally considered within her job description.
This is the second year in a row in which KBH has been recognized for having award-winning staff. At last year LeadingAge Illinois conference Emily Neustadt, Social Services Manager, received the Rising Star award for her extraordinary performance within their first 24 months of employment at KBH. Honoring Excellence is LeadingAge Illinois’ award program that recognizes individuals and organizations that put quality first, deliver excellence and inspire others to do the same. LeadingAge Illinois provider members are invited to submit nominations for the LeadingAge Illinois Honoring Excellence Award Program.
