Person-Centered Care for Meaningful Living
Our dedicated Memory Care Unit, named after our founder- Suzanne King-Bruwaert, is a boutique-style neighborhood of 9 private suites. Suzanne’s Place offers care to residents suffering from mild to moderate Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia or memory loss. Through the assistance of working with a professional in the dementia field, KBH has created specialized programming that focuses on creating stimulating activities that promote principles of wellness. By focusing on social activities, physical fitness (movement therapy, chair exercise, yoga stretches), spiritual programming, and intellectual pursuits (trivia games, brain fitness challenges, poetry classes), residents can flourish with meaningful living. Many of our staff and Life Enrichment coordinators are Certified Dementia Practitioners, which keeps them current with trends, ethics, regulations, medications, and new developments. Highly trained staff members at King-Bruwaert House are committed to regularly enhancing their skills and understanding by attending ongoing classes to help improve the quality of life for residents.
