K-B House residents are curious, well-read, and globally minded, with many bringing successful careers and a wealth of travel experiences to the community. They’re avid readers, and passionate about staying engaged with the world. K-B House’s lifelong learning offerings boast a dual focus: drawing from the talents within the community and collaborating with professionals outside of it.

The program provides diverse and high-quality offerings while rotating topics to reflect resident interests. Highlights of the initiative include resident-led sessions featuring topics like world affairs, literature, science, and art.

We also collaborate with local professionals including historians, musicians, and educators and provide presentations and workshops by experts from universities, museums, performing arts groups, and independent scholars and speakers.

In addition to serving residents, K-B House opens select programs to older adults in the greater Hinsdale and Burr Ridge area. This outreach reflects K-B House’s broader mission to be a hub for lifelong learning and connection for older adults.

Through our lifelong learning program, we offer a full calendar of lectures, performances, and interactive workshops through a stimulating mix of in-person and virtual opportunities; all while having the opportunity to connect with other intellectually curious individuals.
